I’m Yanis De Wit, born and bred in Beilen, a small town in the heart of Midden-Drenthe, The Netherlands.

It’s a place where the wind howls through the trees and life moves at its own steady pace.

But me? I’m more of a storm in a small town, constantly moving, thinking, and rebelling against the ordinary.

Writing for me isn’t about structure or calm reflection. It’s survival. I write like it’s a fight — every word is a punch thrown against conformity, mediocrity, and the chains society tries to wrap around us. And trust me, I’ve had enough of those chains.

I’ve immersed myself in the great works of Russian masters like Tolstoy and Dostoevsky, absorbing their profound insights into the human condition. I’ve marveled at the simplicity of Paulo Coelho’s prose and the unapologetic truth in Mark Manson’s philosophy of not giving too many fucks about life’s madness.

Each page turned has pushed me to explore the depths of existence and challenge societal norms, opening my eyes to new perspectives that inspire and provoke. But just when I thought I had it all figured out, life had other plans.

I’ve got big dreams, but they’re not just about where I want to be; they’re about smashing the systems that try to dictate who I’m supposed to be.

I’ve crossed continents, fought battles — some real, some existential — and I’m still here, writing my own destiny one story at a time.

You’ll find no fluff here. I don’t do sugarcoating. If you want straight-up truths, dark humor, and the occasional moment of existential reflection, you’re in the right place.

Stick around. We’re just getting started.

I’m Yanis De Wit—a name you’ll either remember or wish you had. My words are raw, unapologetic, and sometimes uncomfortable. Why? Well! https://amzn.to/3A92JSX
